Are you passionate about technology and solving technical challenges? MR MARVIS is seeking a dedicated IT Support specialist to join our fast-growing team. In this role, you’ll be providing critical support across both our office and retail locations, ensuring seamless operation of all our systems. From troubleshooting day-to-day issues to managing cybersecurity protocols, you’ll be an integral part of our IT infrastructure, helping to shape the technology backbone that supports our ambitious growth.

What you'll do

  • Helpdesk Support: Troubleshoot issues with software, hardware, and networks for both office and retail environments.

  • Cybersecurity: Implement and manage security protocols and ways-of-working to protect our data and internal systems.

  • Email & Communication Tools: Manage and troubleshoot company email systems, collaboration tools (Slack, Google Suite), and video conferencing setups in our meeting rooms.

  • Device Inventory Management: Keep track of hardware (computers, mobile devices, POS systems (iPads)) used across both office and retail locations.

  • Device Configuration & Deployment: Setup and deploy new computers, POS systems, mobile devices, and other peripherals for office and retail use.

  • Mobile Device Management (MDM): Manage company-owned mobile devices used in retail and office environments, including remote troubleshooting and updates.

  • Software Licensing & Updates: Ensure all software used in the company is up to date and properly licensed. Assign and revoke licences when needed.

  • Point of Sale (POS) System Support: Set up, configure, and troubleshoot retail Shopify POS systems, including hardware and software.

  • Network Management for Stores: Set up and maintain network connectivity for new retail locations, including secure Wi-Fi access for staff and our systems.

  • Store-Specific Tech Support: Provide on-site or remote technical support for retail staff, including troubleshooting hardware and software used in-store.

  • Networking Support: Maintain office networks, including LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, and VPN configurations, ensuring secure and reliable connectivity.

  • Printer and Scanner Maintenance: Install and troubleshoot networked printers, scanners, and other shared devices.

  • Hardware Procurement & Asset Management: Handle procurement and management of IT assets like laptops, desktops, and peripherals.

  • IT Policy Documentation: Document IT policies, including usage guidelines for hardware, software, and security protocols.

  • Vendor Management: Manage relationships with IT service providers, software vendors, and hardware suppliers.

What you'll bring - Essential

  • At least 2 years experience in IT support, particularly within a retail and office environment.

  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve a wide range of technical issues.

  • Ability to provide support for both macOS and Windows-based systems.

  • Knowledge of network management, including LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, and VPN setups.

  • Experience managing mobile devices and POS systems.

  • English communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

  • For non-Europeans, an existing valid working permit for the Netherlands is required. Visa sponsorship is not available for this role.

What we'd love to see - Desired

  • Valid driver's licence.

  • Knowledge of setting up and maintaining networks and infrastructure. This includes determining what hardware is needed for a new installation on-site.

  • Ability to configure and manage VPNs to ensure secure access to company networks, especially for remote staff.

  • Knowledge of managing subscriptions and users in SaaS platforms like Slack, GSuite, or Office 365.

Bonus Points for - Desired

  • Experience with Shopify (Plus) and Shopify POS (Point-of-Sale).

  • Experience with Ubiquiti Unifi setup, maintenance and improvement.

  • Experience with scripting languages like Python or PowerShell to automate simple IT tasks (e.g., batch deployments, updates).

  • Knowledge of managing data backup systems, especially cloud-based solutions like Google Cloud Backup or other SaaS tools.

  • Familiarity with third-party integrations for eCommerce platforms (e.g., payment gateways, inventory systems, shipping solutions).

  • Working knowledge of tools like Jira Service Desk, Zendesk, or other ticketing systems to manage IT requests.

  • Understanding of cloud security measures (e.g., Google Cloud IAM, AWS security protocols) to protect company data.

  • Familiarity with creating or executing disaster recovery plans to ensure business continuity during IT failures.
