Full-time · MR MARVIS HQ Amsterdam

About the job

Are you ready to take your career in Data to new heights? Do you thrive in multidisciplinary teams, solving complex problems and developing innovative data solutions? If you're nodding your head to these questions, then keep reading!

At MR MARVIS, we are on the lookout for a skilled Data Engineer (full-time) with practical experience in cloud platforms, data ingestion, data modelling, and pipeline orchestration. We need someone who understands the business context and knows how to implement reliant, high-quality data pipelines to power the data needs of our business stakeholders.

Joining our ambitious, hands-on team of four, you'll play a pivotal role as our first data engineer. This is a unique opportunity to shape our data infrastructure and align it with our evolving business requirements.

As it continues to grow, the Data & Analytics team faces exciting challenges, including increasingly complex marketing attribution models, advanced stock replenishment strategies, growing reporting needs, and a rising demand for timely data activation.

In the near future, you’ll have the opportunity to work on thrilling projects, such as providing support for financial forecasting tools, seamlessly integrating with ERP systems, and successfully implementing our first Customer Data Platform.

MR MARVIS is a fast-growing Amsterdam-based online menswear brand that is fully dedicated to delivering the perfect shorts & trousers. After a successful launch in 2016 it has become the #1 shorts brand in the Netherlands! Expanding quickly, with several physical stores in the Netherlands, Belgium as well as Germany, and online presence in France, Spain, UK, Italy and Denmark.

Our mission is to share positive energy around the world and make people feel marvellous. We do so by creating iconic designs, offering best-in class service and driving conscious decisions for people and the planet.

As a clothing brand, we want to take responsibility for the impact we have on the world. We aim for timeless design, conscious choices for more sustainable materials and local European production (handmade in Portugal) - in short we are an advocate of “slow fashion”. That is why we are working every day to reduce our emissions and create value for everyone who comes into contact with MR MARVIS. Therefore, we are proud to have become a Certified B Corporation (B Corp) . As a B Corp, MR MARVIS is part of a global community of businesses that meet high standards of social and environmental impact.

Being a force for good goes beyond producing- and selling sustainably, in the end it’s about people. In line with our mission, we participate in several charity and voluntary activities that in most cases focus on the people who sometimes feel a little less marvellous. Examples include: our employees visit elderly homes and dance with elderly who too often feel lonely. They also helped to renovate homes for homeless people, and every year we participate in (and donate to) a charity campaign against child cancer (KiKa).

It is also reflected in various HR choices we’ve made so far: good pension plans and disability insurances, learning & development budgets, trainings & inspirational talks, daily healthy catered lunch (on the house), matching employees donations, monthly wellbeing budget, free access to coaches & psychologists, and much more.
